Lucky Surprise Box
During Season 2, catching creatures in succession can trigger the Lucky Surprise Box encounter. A rarer event called Carnival Moment may trigger at the same time.
Lucky Surprise Box
Three boxes appear at once. Move close to a box to reveal its hint. Only the selected box counts toward its guarantee; the other two do not.
After one box is opened, the remaining two disappear. A box behaves like the creature inside it, with the same skills and type matchups; the wrapping simply hides its identity.
There are three box families. Green boxes can contain Dazzling Didi, blue boxes can contain Firework Puff, and pointed-hat boxes can contain Clown Bean.
How to read a box
After the box is broken, three layers are revealed. Read the lit face from top to bottom: creature type, creature state, and talent bonus.
Creature type can indicate a normal creature, Stardust or Jelly, a seasonal encounter creature, or a season-pass creature. Seasonal encounter icons may be gold or red.
Creature state can indicate Variant, Polluted Bloodline, Unusual Bloodline, Hybrid Bloodline, or Normal. Hybrid Bloodline uses a colorful paw icon.
The talent bonus is the positive stat bonus granted by the creature's nature. It appears on the lit face; symbols on the shadowed face do not carry meaning.
Carnival Moment
Carnival Moment has a low chance to trigger with the encounter and refreshes three to six boxes at once. Every one of these boxes counts toward the guarantee, which can advance the guarantee substantially.
Approaching a Carnival Moment box releases the creature immediately, allowing it to be caught without entering battle. This also means its nature bonus cannot be inspected first.
Variant creatures can appear during Carnival Moment. They do not receive a special icon warning, so check the released creature carefully.
